Tide Times Today

For reference only. The tide times on this page come from a sea-level model, not from tide gauges. Do not use them for navigation, boating or any safety decision at sea; use the official tide tables of your national hydrographic service (for example NOAA Tides & Currents in the US or the UK Hydrographic Office).

About these tide times

Tides are caused by the pull of the Moon and the Sun on the oceans. Most coasts have two high and two low tides a day, some have only one, and the range is largest around the new and full moon (spring tides). See tonight's moon phase to anticipate those periods.

Heights are in metres relative to the model's own reference level, which is not the chart datum or the local mean sea level, so read them as the difference between high and low water rather than as a depth. Times are local to each location and rounded to the hour.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is high tide today?
Find your location in the list above. The "High tide" column shows when the sea level peaks and how high it reaches.
Can I use these times for boating or fishing?
Only as a rough guide. The data comes from a model rather than a tide gauge and can be off. For navigation and safety, use the official tide tables of your national hydrographic service.
Why do some places have one tide a day and others two?
The tidal pattern depends on the shape and depth of each sea basin: it can be diurnal, semi-diurnal or mixed.
